- Chow Mein –
Dried chow mein noodles – 170 g / 6 ounce
Cornstarch – 1 teaspoon
Oyster Sauce – 3 tablespoons
Soy Sauce – 1 tablespoon
Chicken stock – 1/4 cup
Vegetable oil – 1 tablespoon
Ginger – 1 teaspoon
Garlic – 1 teaspoon
Sliced green cabbage – 1 cup
Sliced yellow onion – 1/2 cup
Sliced carrots – 1/4 cup
Sliced red cabbage – 1 cup
Sprouted beans – 1 cup
Green onion – 1/4 cup
Salt – As per your taste
- Chicken –
Boneless and skinless chicken breast – 8 ounces/ 225 g , cut into pieces – 1/2 inch
Sesame oil – 1/2 teaspoon
Vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon
Soy sauce – 1 teaspoon
Cornstarch – 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic – 1 teaspoon
Ginger – 1 teaspoon
Salt – As per your taste
Directions
- Chicken –
- Marinate sliced chicken, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Heat a large pan over medium heat.
- Add oil and once it heat up properly then add marinated chicken in the pan.
- Fry the chicken until it’s lightly brown and cooked properly.
- Transfer this chicken in a plate and reserve it for later use.
- Chow Mein –
- Cook Chow mein according to manufacturer’s directions. After this drain and reserve these for later use.
- Take a small bowl and mix chicken stock, soy sauce and cornstarch and keep that aside.
- Now heat up a pan and add oil. Once oil is properly heated then add ginger and garlic. Saute this for 10-15 seconds.
- Add sliced green cabbage, onion and carrot. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes
- Now add cooked chow mein noodles and sauces. Mix it properly and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add sprouted beans and green onion, stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add the chicken in pan which we cooked previously, stir to combine until warm.
- Serve chicken chow mein immediately.
